Open Line comes into existence in 1992 in Milano and concentrates principally on realising cabling systems for the data transmission and telephone market; fiber optics were however already used in many of their applications.
The years that followed saw a huge growth in the demand for fiber optic connections and the management team at Open Line, seeing the huge potential, decided that this was the moment to invest their capital and productive resources in this sector. The first cabling solutions and accessories in optical fiber were created.
In 1996 Open Line becomes a private limited company under the name of Open Line Fiberoptic and purchases larger manufacturing premises in Peschiera Borromeo, just outside of Milan, and moves its business there.
The product and service offer becomes ever richer.
In 1997 Open Line Fiberoptic develops a new version of pre-connectorised cables called Easyline System which is highly successful.
In 1999 Open Line Fiberoptic obtains certification UNI EN ISO9002;1994. In this period there is room for development due to the Internet boom followed by economic crisis and reorganisation.
A new growth in business leads Open Line Fiberoptic to a further move in 2005 to 1000mq premises.
2006 sees the birth of Multi-Line, a ready to use cabling system for MPO connection based data centers and updated accessories for the termination and management of optical connectivity.
The rest, as they say, is not history but the future: a future filled with new opportunities and with Open Line in the forefront.
